Hello, I’m Peg Bumgardner. I would be honored to represent you as a board member of the City Schools of Decatur Board of Education. My involvement in school organizations and a three-year term as an elected School Leadership Team (SLT) member provides me with valuable knowledge, skills, and experiences to draw upon when making the right decisions for our district. As the Chair of the Renfroe SLT and the Communications Standing Committee, I understand the continuing goal for clarity and authenticity, the importance of school-level governance, and the need for broader public involvement. Because I understand these issues, I believe I can help the City Schools of Decatur become more effective in its efforts to include a larger group of citizens in the decision-making process at the school level and the district level.
